Installing a conveyor gate (also known as a lift gate or pass through) in a compatible light-duty roller conveyor can be done using these gate kits. The gate allows people to pass from one side of the conveyor to the other without having to walk around the conveyor or use crossover ladders or platforms to go over the conveyor. Rollers mounted on axles attached to a hinged frame are present in every conveyor gate and can be raised or lowered. The effort required to lift the gate is reduced by a spring-assist mechanism. Loads slide along the gate's surface due to the rollers when it is lowered. People can move from one side of the conveyor to the other when the gate is raised.
